Jarak This is more of a 'mainstream' black metal album (I know, that sounds like an oxymoron to me too) than later Nordicwinter releases. The later ones are very much in the realms of DSBM, but this was presumably created before the project went in that direction. Still good, though.

H.L. This album shows how timeless raw black metal is. Originally created in 2007 and quoting the good old days of the genre, it does not sound outdated in any category. The songs are not as thrilling as some highlights on the latest album "Desolation" and the drums sound too programmed for my taste, but besides that "Threnody" is a fitting addition to every raw black metal collection. Favorite track: Ancient Prophecies.

porcelainheart- This was one of the first black metal bands I discovered back in 2011. You can imagine my surprise - and delight - at not only finding this gem on Bandcamp, but finding that it has recently been remastered. Cold, bleak, desolate and haunting. FFO ColdWorld, early Forgotten Tomb and early Leviathan. Favorite track: A Blissful Twilight Death.

YomaBarr Loved the original version and still do but this remaster eats the world for breakfast, drills holes in skulls and kills. If it doesn't get immediate recognition and praise from all corners means you're all deaf folks.

(And the T-shirt is absolutely gorgeous, I'll get one as soon as my postal services are back to normal. Goddamn virus.)

On ne frappe pas un homme à terre : c'est ce que dit la règle mais NONE a déjà prouvé qu'il ne les suivait pas et si son album éponyme retirait toute perspective de béatitude spirituelle, Life has gone on long enough, son deuxième opus, nous interdit l'accès au bonheur terrestre. La vie n'a aucune substance et la production plus distante le confirme. Le DSBM s'empare de textures sonores blues, mettant en relief une dépression urbaine. "La mort n'existe ni pour les vivants ni pour les morts" écrivait Épicure et ça reste toujours vrai : personne ne peut en faire l'expérience — sauf NONE, formation américaine qui en a fait son leitmotiv. Les membres du groupe sont inconnus et son premier album n'a pas de nom ; même le paysage sur la pochette est vaporeux.
